Focus Module 2 "Lesson Planning & Evaluation”
Nature of the test
The final module examination is written. At the end of the seminars "Lesson Planning" and "Lesson Evaluation", a concept paper on lesson planning and one on CBM (+item/item sampling example) are to be prepared. Both work results must meet the minimum standards specified in the respective courses. Only then can the corresponding credit points be booked and the module final examination be taken. The quality of the two concept papers is not included in the assessment of the examination.
Period of the examination
Submission takes place on the examination date registered in Klips.
Aim of the examination
The aim of the examination is to document the ability to plan a series of lessons for a specific target group on the basis of sound theories and findings and to assess its impact in a competent diagnostic manner.
Prerequisite for participation in the examination
Prerequisite is the attendance and booking of 2 CPs for the seminars lesson planning and lesson evaluation.
Registration and withdrawal modalities for the exam
Up to two weeks before the fictitious exam date, you can cancel the exam via Klips 2 without giving reasons. An e-mail to the secretary's office or the lecturer does not replace the cancellation via Klips 2. After the two weeks have expired, it is no longer possible to cancel without a valid reason. Failure to take the exam will be considered a failed attempt. If you are unable to take the exam for a valid reason, you must immediately send the Examinations Office a confirmation by email stating the reason for the cancellation (e.g. medical certificate). Please send your confirmation directly to the Examinations Office (c.eith@uni-koeln.de) and put our student assistant office in cc (shk-lb@uni-koeln.de). Please note that your deregistration can only be done by the Examination Office.

Criteria for evaluating the test
Points are awarded for the completion of the tasks. The grading is based on the grading scale of the “[…] Examination Regulations of the University of Cologne for the Master of Education degree programme, Special Needs Education].”
Notification of the examination result
You will receive your examination result via KLIPS 2.0. The grades are usually entered during the lecture-free period (at the latest, however, at the beginning of the lecture period of the following semester).
Status of the examination
The significance of module grade for the overall grade is 6/18.
Possibilities of repeating the examination
The examination can be repeated twice.
