Reserving PC Labs for Teaching

Are you a lecturer and would like to use our PC labs for your course? Please ensure that room reservations are made exclusively through us, and refrain from submitting independent requests in KLIPS.

Our workstation PCs come with a wide selection of pre-installed software (you can find a detailed overview of the installed programs here).

In addition, each room is equipped with several laptop workstations featuring modern USB-C ports. Here, students can easily connect their own mobile devices or laptops (Bring Your Own Device) to work flexibly with their own devices using a mouse and keyboard, as well as to charge them

Important booking conditions

• UzK account (IdM account) required: A valid UzK account is mandatory for both students and faculty. This is the central university account that is also used, for example, for KLIPS or VPN access. Without this account, it is technically impossible to log in to the devices.
• Software Installations & Lead Times: A curated selection of software is available in the computer labs. Additional software installations are only possible after review and, as a rule, exclusively with sufficient lead time during the break before the semester begins.
• Early Reservation: Firm reservations for our computer labs for the upcoming semester must always be made well in advance of the start of the lecture period.
• Fire Safety & Room Capacity: Please strictly observe the maximum number of students when making room requests. Due to strict fire safety regulations, participant numbers higher than those specified above are absolutely not permitted!
