Computer Labs and Exam Rooms, HF

The Faculty of Human Sciences has several computer workstations, which are managed by the Network and Media Center. During scheduled class times, these rooms are not open to the public.

Computer Labs for Teaching and Exams

All classrooms are equipped with a permanently installed projector connected to a faculty PC. Users log in to faculty and student PCs using their University of Cologne IDM account (SMail or staff account). Some of the stations are set up for laptops (laptop workstations).

• PC Lab at Frangenheimstraße 4, Room M01A (22 seats + 2 laptop workstations)
• PC Pool, Gronewaldstraße 2, Room 2119A (12 seats + 3 laptop workstations)
• PC Pool, Gronewaldstraße 2, Room 2119B (26 seats + 4 laptop workstations) 

Hours:
Mon–Fri: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Additional Computer Workstations

The following rooms have workstations managed by the Network Media Center but are not available for teaching or training:

• Reading Room and Circulation Desk, Department of Human Sciences (HWA), Gronewaldstraße 2 (22 seats)
• Special Education Reading Room, Frangenheimstraße 4 (10 seats)

Equipment

Please note: USB flash drives and external storage devices cannot be used on the pool PCs. Save your data to the network drive S:, which becomes available automatically after you log in. You can also transfer files to your SOFS drive from home via VPN—instructions for your specific operating system are available from the ITCC.
