Welcome to the Baumraum

The library, study, and multipurpose room serves as the group study and training space for the Department of Human Sciences at the University and City Library of Cologne. Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the BaumRaum offers 32 study stations for users. Discussions during group work and Zoom meetings are expressly permitted, and the movable furniture can be freely configured. A group work area with a wall-mounted monitor can be partitioned off using movable partitions for collaborative work.

Students can book the BaumRaum on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for their own events such as plenary sessions, workshops, or exhibitions. Bookings (including the booker’s contact information, purpose of use, and estimated number of participants) can be made at baumraum@ub.uni-koeln.de.
