The Center Network Media has a voting software system with which lecturers can actively support students in large events. can be integrated into the process. With Votepoint, as a lecturer in seminars, workshops and training courses, you can coordinate your participants in real time and have the result displayed immediately - WITHOUT special hardware!
The Votepoint system was developed by Martin Seiler. Within the scope of the promotion mentioned below, a variant "Votepoint+" was further developed and programmed under the direction of Martin Seiler.
The system is available to all university lecturers at no additional cost. Interested parties can apply for access to the Network Media at votepoint@uni-koeln.de

With VotePoint+ for more study success
As part of the Rectorate's "Innovation in Teaching" programme, the project "Votepoint" is being promoted to more academic success. Applicants are Prof. Dr. Christian Rietz (research methods, HumFak), Junior Prof. Dr. Christian Huber (HumFak), Dr. Udo Kullik (Zentrum Netzwerk Medien, HumFak) and Prof. Dr. von Coelln (JurFak). The project is scheduled for 01.04.2013-30.09.2014. The project management is headed by Prof. Dr. Christian Rietz.
In this project, the Votepoint program will be extended by various individual feedback functions and evaluated in use in teaching. With VotePoint+, teachers can integrate knowledge questions for students into their presentations with relatively little effort. In this way, regular individualised feedback on learning success and competence acquisition can also take place in large courses. Students log into VotePoint+ via the Internet using a smartphone, laptop or tablet, vote on their choice and receive individualised feedback via the device identifier. This sensitises students to the subject matter and any difficulties in understanding it and gives them the opportunity to make up for deficits in good time without losing touch with the content of the event.
