Exam Services
The Media Network (NM) supports instructors in administering and automatically grading exams. We offer two main formats for this purpose: digital e-exams in our computer labs and paper-based scanned exams.
E-Exams
For e-exams, exams are taken directly in ILIAS in the computer labs of Netzwerk Medien. The advantages include immediate (partially) automated grading and the ability to randomize test items.

Scanned Exams
Scanned exams enable the automated grading of paper-based exams. This service is offered for groups of 20 or more participants and includes centralized printing and the digitization of results.
Important note regarding the format:
Our system supports only the single-choice method. Exams with multiple-choice questions cannot currently be evaluated automatically.
Planning & Registration
To ensure sufficient printing and logistics capacity, please observe the following deadlines:
- Binding Registration: Key data (including the alternate date/fictitious date) must be entered via our ILIAS portal no later than 4 weeks before the exam date.
- Seasonal advance planning: Ideally, you should register your needs for the upcoming exam period at least 4 weeks before the end of the lecture period.
