Franziska Heimrich is interested in socio-economic phenomena and their institutional arrangements. In her doctoral thesis, she examines the normative and discursive contexts of financial education, drawing in particular on findings from economic sociology. In addition to her research, she is developing teaching and learning arrangements for socially inclusive financial education as part of the BMBFSFJ-funded SoFi project. The combination of theory and practice is particularly important to her, an aspiration that is also reflected in her degree programmes in Social Work (B.A.) and Economics – Sustainability – Social Design (M.A.). She previously worked on various transdisciplinary research projects.
