Stella Wasenitz teaches and conducts research on socioeconomic education on topics like financial literacy, plural economics, and the socio-ecological transformation. In her doctoral research, she examines the orientation of social science subjects, particularly in the context of educational policy regulations such as timetables and curricula. Her interdisciplinary profile was shaped by her studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences (B.A.) with a focus on social sciences, philosophy of science, and political theory at University College Maastricht (Netherlands), and in Philosophy and Education (M.A.) at Teachers College, Columbia University (USA). She has previously worked in Maastricht as a lecturer and on research projects related to higher education, university strategy development, and online education.
