Help with finding an internship
How to find an internship:
- Check the relevant company websites
- Visit the Music Mediation internship exchange (students who have already completed their internships present their internship opportunities)
- Check the "Long-term Internship Postings" section on our website (see below)
- Use internship search engines or internship portals (https://buehnenjobs.de/, the Employment Agency’s job site, https://betriebspraktikum.koeln/node/291479, https://www.kulturmanagement.net/Stellenmarkt-Praktika
- If you already know which industry you want to work in later, search the internet to see if there are any specialized search engines or portals for that field.
- Personal networks – use your personal contacts (friends, family, etc.)
Recognition of a previously completed internship/job
- Step 1: Upload your documentation regarding the completed internship or work experience (to be issued by your internship or employer) to the "Recognition of Work Experience" tool on ILIAS.
The documentation must clearly indicate both the scope of work and the number of hours worked. A template for an employer’s certificate can be found here - Step 2: The module coordinator will review the equivalence of the activity and, upon successful review, issue a certificate recognizing the activity as an internship in the AM 4 module.
