Interview - Implementation
When we approached the organizers of the ADHD training with our project idea, it quickly became clear that an important aspect should be the implementation of the tips and suggestions provided in the training into the participants’ daily lives. So, of course, we asked them about that as well.
"Well, for me personally, it just helps to know that maybe it’s just the way my body works, that I don’t have to worry about it, and that I’m just learning to deal with it."
"My sense of time has changed. I live a more structured life. I’m better able to start and complete things.” “
... that it helps to structure your weeks and days and have a good plan... and that this enables you to deliberately shut out distractions.”
“I’ve realized that you get much further with small steps, and that positive reinforcement is also very important—praising yourself when you’ve accomplished something. And I’ve implemented that well, and it makes me feel better.”“
... that I don’t just think in small steps all the time, but make myself aware of what I ultimately want to achieve and keep that in mind—and don’t just say, ‘I can do this,’ but rather apply more pressure, positive pressure.”“
... "understand myself better and maybe learn problem-solving strategies..."
"... for example, creating a study plan before I study and just getting an overview first."
