Reasons for Choosing This Topic
For most people, computers have become an indispensable part of everyday life. They serve as an important communication and input tool not only for students. For people with disabilities in particular, using a computer can open up new possibilities. However, before these possibilities—such as the written documentation of information, digital communication, and information retrieval, among many others—could be utilized, a range of assistive technologies had to be developed and produced.
There is a wide variety of computer assistive technologies specifically tailored to the individual needs of those affected. They help compensate for physical and motor challenges when operating a computer.
We are committed to introducing some of these tools to potential users who have little or no experience with assistive technology and examining them in greater detail.
