Integral Studies: Psychotraumatology

 

The Psychotraumatology working group organizes the lecture as part of the Integral Studies program. We place great importance on the interdisciplinary approach that arises at the intersection of medicine, health, and psychology.

Content:

The course is aimed at students of the Faculty of Human Sciences in the Integral Studies program, guest students, and interested parties from all faculties. The lecture on psychotraumatology is divided into two parts: The first part focuses on a general introduction to psychotraumatology. This includes the political aspects, the clinical phenomenology of post-traumatic stress disorders, and basic concepts of treatment and rehabilitation. In the second part, scientists who are particularly knowledgeable in the field of psychotraumatology are invited to speak. The course aims to prepare professionals in the health and social services sectors to deal with people affected by post-traumatic stress disorders.

CP allocation:

Two CP credits are awarded for the course. Regular attendance and a test certificate with a grade of at least satisfactory are required for CP allocation.
