Teaching
In teaching, we are represented in both school and non-school degree programmes: In addition to educational sciences, rehabilitation sciences, early intervention, curative education and various teacher training programmes, we also offer courses for the care science, music mediation and psychology degree programmes. In particular, we also offer courses in the specialisation ‘Curative Education and Inclusion’ (as part of the 2-subject Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences). In the courses we deal with educational processes and their (social and developmental) conditions. In addition to anthropological, pedagogical and professional theoretical issues, we also deal with the fundamentals of early intervention and rehabilitation; this also includes social and political aspects in the context of participation and inclusion. One focus of teaching is on ethical issues in connection with disability and (curative) education.
These general questions are also reflected in specific subject areas, which we explore in seminars, e.g. abolitionism, disability and technology, trauma and violence or vignette research.
The theoretical questions in the courses are related to current pedagogical fields of practice and problems so that you as a student can develop a well-founded professional self-image on this basis.
