Information on the digital presence exam

Please read the following points carefully and thoroughly.

General information on the realisation

  1. A digital face-to-face examination is an examination to be taken on a digital device (PC) on the premises of the University of Cologne.
  2. To participate, you must register for the exam in Klips2. Please note the registration and cancellation deadlines. The time slot for the exam is also stored in Klips. (Time window means: preparation time + exam duration + follow-up time.)
  3. The digital end device required for the exam will be provided by the University of Cologne (PC workstations).
  4. The digital face-to-face examinations take place in Universitätsstr. 41 (Philosophikum). The room of your examination is stored on the Ilias examination platform. (For more information, see the section "In the run-up to the exam").
  5. You will arrive at the examination venue at the time specified in Klips 2. (Example: According to Klips 2, the exam lasts from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm - then you will be in the Philosophikum at 1.00 pm and wait for further instructions). If you are in the Philosophikum, please wait in the anteroom in front of the examination rooms (in front of the glass doors) until we pick you up.
  6. You will need to bring your student ID card and your identity card. You will be briefly checked at the entrance to the room assigned to you.
  7. Please note that you will have to log in to Ilias on site - you must therefore know your uniKIM data (the data for logging in to Webmail, Ilias, Klips etc.)! If you are unsure, make a note of this information on a piece of paper and bring it with you.
  8. You can leave jackets, bags and other items that are not relevant for taking the exam on the sides of the room or on the blackboard. Please mute your digital devices and ensure that you do not take any digital, internet-enabled devices with you to your examination seat. You may bring drinks in lockable containers, but place them on the floor - never on the desk/workstation.

In the run-up to the exam

  1. Please check your access in advance. To do this, log in here (outside the UzK network IF VPN CONNECTION IS ACTIVATED):
    E-Prüfungen - Ilias Prüfungsinstanz
  2. You can find your exam here: Click on "Workspace" in the menu on the left, then on "My courses and groups". The display is updated and the exams relevant to you are displayed (blackboard symbol + name). Recommendation: Use the "Drop-down" button on the right-hand side and select "Add to favourites" - the exam will then be placed directly on your "Dashboard" and will be visible to you immediately after logging in on the day of the exam (without having to go via the "Workspace").
  3. The exam itself is located in the exam folder, but is usually only created shortly before the exam - so don't be surprised if you click on the folder but can't find any content or information.
  4. If you are entitled to compensation for disadvantages, please send us proof of this at least 14 days before the exam.

!! If the exam is not visible, please check in Klips whether you have registered for the exam.
!! If you have missed the registration for the exam, please contact the examination office responsible for you.
!! If you are registered for the exam but it is still not visible, please take your time to go through the above steps again.
!! If you still can't see the exam, don't panic! Talk to us directly on the day of the exam in the Philosophikum. (Please note that you will not be able to take notes if you are not logged into Klips).
