The PURFAM-Assessment
Overview
The PURFAM Assessment was developed as part of the project Potentials and Risks in the Family Care of Old People (PURFAM). It was conceived as an additional anamnesis for recording abuse and neglect in family care, which can be used by outpatient care services for quality assurance in care. The assessment consists of a total of three instruments, each of which takes into account different sources of information for assessing the care situation (Heidenblut, Schacke & Zank, 2013):
- The stress experience of the caring relative through the Berlin inventory of the stress of caring relatives in a special practice version for PURFAM (BICS-D-PV-PURFAM)
- The description of the situation by the responsible nurse with the help of the checklist Nurse
- The evaluation of the situation by the entire nursing team with the help of the checklist team
