The demographic change in Germany leads to a shift in the age structure, with an increasing number of older people. Gerontology comprehensively addresses this societal transformation. As an interdisciplinary science, it considers aspects of rehabilitation science, psychology, medicine, pedagogy, social science, and biology.
A crucial task of our chair is to familiarize students with gerontological topics and research methods. Currently, we offer courses in the Master's program in Rehabilitation Sciences, as well as in the gerontological modules of the Bachelor's programs in Educational Sciences, Psychology, Special Education, and Music Education. For all courses, the following guidelines for written assignments are recommended.
