Use of resources to improve the quality of teaching
Department of Educational and Social Sciences
The expansion of the department's range of courses with the help of qualified lecturers could be continued and the contents of the events could be specifically illustrated and supplemented by subject-specific guest lectures given by external lecturers;
The support of the courses and the processing of the teaching and seminar contents was additionally provided by tutors and student assistants. The use of WHKs as correction assistants in large lectures significantly shortened the time required to correct exams.
In addition, the extension of the opening hours of libraries by student staff also represents an improved starting point for studies. This also includes the continued expansion of the number of students in the libraries, which is available to students for their own literature research.
Department of Health Education
The QVM funds were used to support and expand the courses offered by the Heilpädagogik und Rehabilitation Department through teaching assignments and guest lectures.
In addition, courses have been accompanied by tutors and student assistants.
The purchase of additional teaching and learning materials, test materials and specialist literature served to improve the quality of teaching.
Section Art/Textiles and Music
Art / Textile
Art uses the QVM funds mainly to improve teaching and to supplement the equipment of the working environment. A large part of the funds was used for student assistants and supplementary teaching positions, the remainder for library maintenance and working materials;
The textile sector has invested the funds spent by FG Kunst/Textil/Musik in improving teaching. A large part of this was used for student assistants to support the seminars and projects and to extend the opening hours of the textile library. Teaching contracts were financed which have qualitatively and quantitatively expanded the range of events in Modules A to E.
The rest was invested in materials for artistic practice.
Music
The music department uses the funds available to it for tutorials and student assistants to improve the lending situation in the library. The funds were used to purchase new instruments.
Department Psychology
The QVM funds allow the department to support the courses with tutors. Especially in large lectures, the supervision key for students is relatively weak, so that usually questions and problems of the students cannot be sufficiently clarified. This is where tutors are used to clarify students' open questions. The same applies to homework intensive areas such as method training. Here, too, additional tutors can significantly improve the quality of teaching.
In addition, the QVM funds are used for teaching assignments and thus contribute to the breadth of the events on offer in the department. The resulting choices for students contribute to a direct improvement of study conditions (e.g. through smaller seminar sizes).
In addition to teaching, the extension of the opening hours of the institute library by student staff also contributed to an improvement in the study situation. This will also be achieved by the continued expansion of the number of students. Finally, QVM funds were used to improve the support and equipment of our PC pool in the interest of the students.
Center for International Relations
From QVM funds, the Center for International Relations was able to support the specialist groups in inviting renowned guest scientists, and the staffing of the exchange students was expanded. Further funds are earmarked for the promotion of international study trips (excursions) and will be used exclusively for travel, accommodation and comparable costs for the students.
Center Network Media
The Media Network has used the tuition fees available to it to significantly improve teaching opportunities and to improve the conditions for studying at the Faculty of Human Sciences. The media equipment of the seminar rooms continued to improve significantly.
SSC Student Service Center
The SSC at the Faculty of Human Sciences, which is largely financed by tuition fees, offers students comprehensive advice in its departments on the course of studies, content and organisation of the individual courses. The SSC prepares, updates and makes available information about the counselling opportunities as well as extensive material and form templates. These include:
detailed information on the content, structure and vocational field orientation of the individual degree programmes Forms (dockets) for the documentation of the course of studies
Current information from the individual areas
In addition, the SSC has the following tasks:
- to inform prospective students
- (in cooperation with the Central Student Advisory Office).
- to organise introductory events and counselling for freshmen, and to inform them about the structure of their studies, their content, study requirements, study opportunities and timetables.

- To moderate problems among students and with teachers.
The SSC also carries out central tasks in the field of teaching and examination organisation, in the conception of new courses of study, the preparation of examination regulations, etc. The SSC is also responsible for the organisation of the teaching and examination of the students.
Center for University Didactics
