Research
I am interested in learning and decision-making behavior modulated by the neurotransmitter dopamine. In my doctoral thesis, I investigated changes in various learning and decision-making tasks in obese compared to normal-weight subjects. In ongoing projects, I examine how changes in dopamine levels affect aspects of impulsivity and reinforcement learning. Methodologically, I use structural and functional imaging with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Additionally, I employ computational modeling to analyze specific aspects of dopamine-driven learning and compare them between subjects.
