Support of diploma and examination theses in the field of media impact research

Students can participate in research topics of the Network Media in the context of exam and diploma theses. In addition, they can approach us with their own ideas for research.

Students testing their sense of balance

Students are preparing an investigation into the sense of balance of deaf and dumb children. They use a Wii Balance Board and appropriate software.

Development and evaluation of educational software

One focus of our work is the development and evaluation of learning software for students with learning disabilities. In this context, many students have had the opportunity in recent years to participate actively in this process or to conduct their own evaluation studies within the framework of exam papers.

Development work in the field of interactive media

The "Interactive Media" division is also involved in a large number of projects within the faculty. One focus of the work is currently - due to the restructuring of the faculty - the development of tools to simplify communication between colleagues and with students. The Centre is also involved in carrying out the faculty's teaching evaluations. In addition, software tools have been developed to better distribute students from the new BA/Ma programmes between events. In the meantime, these tools have been replaced by the KLPIS system. In addition, a procedure for computer-supported certification was developed as part of a third-party funding project. Some of the resulting software tools benefit the members of the faculty: It is now possible to evaluate multiple choice exams on a larger scale.
