Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the Consultancy Centre for Empirical Research!
Research methodology is the backbone of all scientific research projects. A solid methodological approach is a prerequisite for high quality science, whatever the theoretical orientation or the practical aim may be and irrespective whether qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods strategies are used. The Consultancy Centre for Empirical Research offers consultancy both to researchers, lecturers and students at the Faculty of Human Sciences. We provide tailor-made advice and support on each phase of the research process, concerning both quantitative, qualitative approaches and mixed-methods approaches.
In teaching we can also find difficulties embedding students in research methodology. Experience has shown us that it is not always easy for students to pick up on empirical research methods or conduct empirical research themselves.
Therefore, the aim of the consultancy centre is to support researchers, lecturers but also students in several ways.
What we offer:
The consultancy centre offers support in several different formats:
- Workshops and Seminars. We offer workshops and seminars on request to, for example, teams that want to get to know more about a topic or want to work on a topic together. We also organise events in cooperation with the Graduate school of the Faculty of Human Sciences.
- Consultancy and supervision for your specific and individual requests.
Philosophy
We like to work according to the principle of "helping people help themselves".
As you are the experts in your topics and research field, only you can decide on the appropriateness of research designs, data collection methods, data analysis and also the interpretation of the results. We like to support you with that from an equal eye level.
We appreciate your feedback on our services and performance.
