Freemovers

‘Freemovers’ are students who organise their stay abroad independently, outside the university’s exchange programmes. Typically, freemovers must pay tuition fees at the university of their choice. They have the same opportunities to have credits recognised as students taking part in exchange semesters organised by the university, provided that the host university is classified as ‘H+’ according to the Anabin database. 

However, the ZIB does not support freemover semesters at the HF Faculty’s partner universities.

Freemover applicants can organise their semester abroad entirely on their own by downloading the application forms from the website of their chosen university and handling the entire application process themselves. Alternatively, various organisations offer fee-based services to handle the application process on behalf of students.
