Ferzaneh Fakdani studied Social Sciences and Sociology at the University of Cologne and the University of Duisburg-Essen, completing her M.A. degree in 2017. Her areas of study focused on transnational and comparative sociology. Concurrent with her studies, she undertook internships at market and social research institutes and worked as a student assistant at the University of Duisburg-Essen, the University of Cologne, and the Institute for Sozialforschung und Gesellschaftspolitik Cologne (ISG). Following her studies, she worked at the Statistical State Office NRW (IT.NRW), as a lecturer at the Technical University of Cologne, and as a research assistant at the ISG, focusing on social reporting, care planning, and the inclusion of people with disabilities. Since April 2022, she has been working as a research assistant at the chair of Rehabilitative Gerontology.
