Research

The workgroup for Biological Psychology primarily investigates the neural basis of learning, decision-making, and memory processes. Current research focuses include, among others:

  • Disturbances in decision-making behavior in addiction disorders
  • Dopaminergic mechanisms of learning and decision processes
  • The role of prospection in temporal discounting
  • Neuroendocrine influencing factors on decision processes
  • The role of the prefrontal cortex in evaluation and decision processes
  • Computational modeling; Quantitative text analysis
