Cooperation:

The Dewey Center in Cologne is in close cooperation with the American Center. The Center for Dewey Studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale began in 1961 as the "Dewey Project". In the course of collecting and publishing John Dewey's works, this center collected comprehensive source material on Dewey's studies and pragmatism as a whole. Through its publications and research, the Center has become an international focal point for research on Dewey's life and work.
Southern Illinois University has America's largest philosophical department in pragmatism research. In addition to the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Education, the Special Collections in the Morris Library, and the Southern Illinois University Press are of particular interest to researchers who wish to study the reception of Dewey on site.
The Dewey Center Cologne has very good contacts and a constant exchange of research with the Dewey Center in the USA. The director of the Dewey Center in the USA is also a board member of the Dewey Center Cologne. Most publications are in English.
The Cologne Center has a library with Dewey's works, all electronic editions of Dewey's works, correspondence with and by Dewey, and works about Dewey. In addition, there are other - especially current - works from pragmatism and constructivism research.
The Dewey-Center Cologne regularly organizes colloquia and conferences on pragmatism and constructivism research. International cooperation of the Dewey Center in Cologne also includes:

- The Center works with the Dewey-Center at Fudan University, Shanghai.
- Central European Pragmatist Forum. Conferences take place annually.
- The Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy. The SAAP holds annual conferences on pragmatism research. Information can be found here: SAAP

Kooperation

  • Central European Pragmatist Forum. Die Konferenzen finden jährlich statt.
  • The Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy.
